5:30-8:00 pm Fall Wreath Workshop. Learn how to construct a door wreath for the upcoming season. Presented by Macon-Bibb Parks & Rec at the Bloomfield Community Center.
7:00-9:00 pm GAEA Welcome Party. The Georgia Art Education Association‘s annual conference will take place in Macon alongside the festival, and they’re inviting the public to join them in celebrating an exhibit by their members at travis jean (530 Cherry Street). Across the street, The 567 will open their doors for a sneak preview of their new exhibit. In addition to art, there will be live music and light refreshments.
Friday, October 3
5:00-9:00 pm First Friday Art Walk in downtown Macon. Downtown galleries, museums, and small businesses will open their doors with free events and special exhibits. A trolley will pick up and drop off visitors at the different venues, and volunteers will be on hand as tour guides to help guests find their way between nearby galleries. Art Walk events will be presented at the following locations:

6:00 and 6:30 pm Guided Downtown Public Art Walking Tour. Join students from Mercer University for a guided tour of public art and architecture in downtown Macon. These tours are the result of a partnership between Philosophy of Public Art students at Mercer University and Macon Arts Alliance. Two free tours begin at Macon Arts Alliance and last approx. 30 minutes.
9:00-11:00 pm Art After Party. As the art walk comes to a close, the fun will continue with the Art After Party at The 567 Center with live music and refreshments.
Saturday, October 4
10:00 am-3:00 pm Painting in the Round. At Middle Georgia Art Association, artists will create paintings of the shops in Ingleside Village, taking turns so each contributes to every painting. The public may come watch the artists at work, enjoy light refreshments, and see “Urban Inspired” on display in the gallery.
10:00 am-5:00 pm Free Saturday at Museum of Arts & Sciences. The Museum of Arts & Sciences will offer free admission to see its five exhibits featuring local and regional artists. In the afternoon (1-5 pm), MAS will offer special hands-on activities and programming that all ages will enjoy.
10:00 am & 12:00 pm Lizard Key Chain Workshop for kids. Bring the kids to this fun, one hour workshop where they will use beads, plastic lace, and their creativity to make a fun little lizard that can be used as a keychain, a zipper pull, or an ornament. 10:00 am at LH Williams and 12:00 pm at North Macon Park. Presented by Macon-Bibb Parks & Rec.
12:30-2:00 pm Scrapbook Workshop. Learn the art of scrapbooking! This workshop will teach you how to use different formats and placement methods. Presented by Macon-Bibb Parks & Rec at the LH Williams Community Center.
Comics Plus will host a Store-wide Sale offering 20% off all store merchandise from 11 am – 10 pm.
Sunday, October 5
5:00-7:30 pm pm Free Screening: Midnight in Paris. Macon Film Festival close out One City Art Festival with a free screening of Woody Allen’s Oscar-winning film Midnight in Paris at Museum of Arts & Sciences. Doors open at 5 pm, the film will start at 5:30 pm.
