First Friday Art Walk
On Friday, October 3, from 5 to 9 pm, Macon Arts Alliance presents the opening reception of “Exquisite Formations,” an exhibit of work by Cherry Brewer and Ester Lipscomb.

About Cherry Brewer

Cherry Brewer is a local painter who is known for her large, expressive paintings, bright colors, and loose brushstrokes.

About Ester Lipscomb
Ester Lipscomb is an artist from Lakemont, GA who creates raku pottery.


Guided Downtown Public Art Walking Tour

Join students from Mercer University for a guided tour of public art and architecture in downtown Macon. These tours are the result of a partnership between Philosophy of Public Art students at Mercer University and Macon Arts Alliance.  Two tours will be offered on Friday, October 3 at 6:00pm and 6:30pm. The tours begin at Macon Arts Alliance and last approx. 30 minutes.  Admission is free and open to the public.


About the Macon Arts Alliance
It is the mission of Macon Arts Alliance to foster support for the advancement of arts and culture in Central Georgia. The Gallery at Macon Arts Alliance exhibits and sells art hand-crafted by artists from throughout Georgia and the southeastern United States. The front gallery exhibits an array of paintings, photography, ceramics, jewelry, wood works, knitted goods, metal sculpture, decorative pieces and arts and culture books. The central gallery hosts a new featured exhibit each month.

The Macon Arts Alliance is located at 486 First Street in downtown Macon. The gallery is open Monday – Friday, 11 am-5 pm, and Saturdays, 11 am-3 pm. Admission is free.
