NEWS: We’re excited to announce the dates of the 2nd Annual One City Art Festival: October 2-5, 2014. Check back later for this year’s festival schedule.
The One City Art Festival is an annual city-wide celebration of the visual arts that started in 2013. It is a collaboration between seven local art organizations: Tubman African American Museum, Macon Arts Alliance, Middle Georgia Art Association, Contemporary Arts Exchange, Museum of Arts and Sciences, Georgia Art Educators Association, and The 567 Center for Renewal. The One City Festival will bring high quality art, as well as entertaining and provocative arts programming to Macon.
The One City Art Festival consists of special exhibits and programming presented by each of the seven partner organizations over the course of the four-day event. In addition, the festival features a pop-up gallery. The pop-up gallery will transform a historic downtown property currently not in use into a temporary art space. The pop-up gallery will highlight both the art that is in it, and one of the beautiful buildings available in downtown Macon.
As the 2014 One City Festival approaches, we will be continually updating this website with pictures of artwork from the exhibits, additional events, and more details about the pop-up gallery. Check back soon to see what’s new!
